Okay... My bad.
Wow. Yeah, it's been a bit too long since I last undated my blog here! Sorry about that. I had way too much going on during the last half of 2015. Besides DesignerCon and all that work, I got married, went on overseas work trips, and have been busy at work otherwise.
But whatever! You guys want to see art, so I'll cut the chit-chatty apology.
Gremlins! I worked on these guys for a while, and sold out of all but one painted one at DesignerCon, thank you to those that picked one up! I want to do more and different versions, so stay tuned for that.

I'm not dead!
Hey ya'll, or at least the few that are still interested - didn't realize I hadn't updated my blog here in so long!
I'll be having a table at #fanalley in just under a month, so if you want some toys and sculpts, come on down that way!

WHAM!
This was a fun piece. I've loved Popeye, especially the brilliant Fliescher Brothers studio animated cartoons. So funny and well done, blowing away Disney animation at the time.
Anyway, this was for the official Popeye Anniversary art show at Hero Complex Gallery. One of four - not counting my artists proof.
Wanted to do something fun, and show all the major players of the ol' Thimble Theater newspaper strip cartoons and the Fliescher animated shorts. Thought Popeye knocking Bluto out would be appropriate, then it just morphed into Popeye literally knocking Bluto right out of the frame.
Another update...
Another piece! This one, of course, is a papercut homage to the incomparable Drsgon's Lair from Don Bluth studios. Done for Bottleneck Gallery's video game show. Daphne there was very very tiny.
And another update!
I'll try to get caught up. Like I said, I wasn't just sitting idle. Though I bet some of you thought so. Shame on you.
Here's another piece that was shown at both Rothick Art Haus and Bottleneck Gallery for each of their respective video game themed shows.
Wait, what?
Its been HOW long since my last update here? Whoa. Sorry about that. I've been kinda swamped lately, but I have been getting stuff done! For serious.
Yup, you guessed right, that's a Metroid in a containment cylinder, from SNES Super Metroid. Showcased at Bottleneck Gallery in New York and at Rothick Art House in Anaheim CA.

Gallery Works - teasers!
For those of you that check in from time to time, I'm not dead! No, just busy. I've been working on pieces for PopZilla's PopCade gallery show, a tribute to video games.
So when the show is about to open I'll show the full pieces here, but for now here are some teasers!
Hope you like!
PopCade opens on May 10th at Rothick Art Haus in Anaheim, so if you can, stop on down - it's going to be a huge show!

The Sheelahs are multiplying...
I wish it was as easy as pouring water on the master prototype to get more of them, but it's not... Anyway, there are about a dozen of the girls nearly ready for DesignerCon, and then more after for those not at the show.

Revamped, redesigned, resculpted SHEELAH!
It's been a while since my last update, but I haven't been just sitting around! Nope, some things I've been working on I can show you, and others I can't. This one though, I can - the redesigned and resculpted (with the digital wizardry of Tim Jones) Sheelah custom platform toy. I really like how she came out and I'm happier with her than the last version. I'll be trying to cast her up and have some available at DesignerCon this year, and maybe a custom or two that I've done of her, with luck!
Let me know your thoughts about her!

Link for Game On! at 1AM gallery addition!
After showing a friend the Link micro-munny, she asked "where's Navi?"
...
Well, dammit, I had to make Navi. So it's just a little addition to the toy but I like it!

New Year and New Sculpture!
Happy New Year all. Hope '13 has been lucky for you all. It's been lucky enough for me, with one minor good thing right here- finally finished my GizmoDuck sculpture for the collaborative steampunk themed gallery show, SteamPop, that I'm showing in. I might add some smoke coming out of his smokestack, but otherwise, this is it for the piece. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
