Gallery Works - teasers!

For those of you that check in from time to time, I'm not dead! No, just busy. I've been working on pieces for PopZilla's PopCade gallery show, a tribute to video games. 

So when the show is about to open I'll show the full pieces here, but for now here are some teasers!

PopCade opens on May 10th at Rothick Art Haus in Anaheim, so if you can, stop on down - it's going to be a huge show!

The shadow box paper cut out piece has blinking lights, an electric generator effect, and two spinning elements. Best part is it sold! I think I'll do another motorized shadow box sometime...

Sheelah at DesignerCon booth 826!

Thats where I'll be, booth 826 at DesignerCon this coming weekend. I'll have some new customs for sale (coming soon!) and sculptures on display if you're curious to see. Hope to see you folks there, come and say Hi.

The Sheelahs are multiplying...

I wish it was as easy as pouring water on the master prototype to get more of them, but it's not... Anyway, there are about a dozen of the girls nearly ready for DesignerCon, and then more after for those not at the show. 

I'll show pics of her in her packaging very soon.. 

Revamped, redesigned, resculpted SHEELAH!

It's been a while since my last update, but I haven't been just sitting around! Nope, some things I've been working on I can show you, and others I can't. This one though, I can - the redesigned and resculpted (with the digital wizardry of Tim Jones) Sheelah custom platform toy. I really like how she came out and I'm happier with her than the last version. I'll be trying to cast her up and have some available at DesignerCon this year, and maybe a custom or two that I've done of her, with luck!

Scott Tolleson's Bitta Critta

Since Scott unveiled Bitta this past weekend, I got the go ahead for posting pics of the WIP and finished sculpt I did for it - so here they are! Hope folks will like how it came out.

Their next show, Game On! is all video game inspired and I'm looking forward to seeing what the other artists are doing!

New Year and New Sculpture!

Happy New Year all. Hope '13 has been lucky for you all. It's been lucky enough for me, with one minor good thing right here- finally finished my GizmoDuck sculpture for the collaborative steampunk themed gallery show, SteamPop, that I'm showing in. I might add some smoke coming out of his smokestack, but otherwise, this is it for the piece. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Dragons unleashed to the store!

Finally got the artoftimw.bigcartel.com store up and working, and the first customs up on the block are four dragons! One of each color, the dragons are each hand sculpted and painted and no two are alike.

The store opens at 5:15pm PST, so if you're interested be sure to set an alarm!

Designer Con 2012 wrap up

Well, D Con is come and gone. I wanted to thank those of you that came by and visited my humble table, you made me feel very appreciated! I hope to do it again next year and have some more customs to show as well.

Those folks that asked about commissions, I'll be contacting you soon once I get a couple long standing ones sorted out.

Those still interested in some customs I've already done, I'll have those up on my bigcartel store very soon. Some customs are currently sold out, like the reapers and tikis, but I do want to do another different run of those so stay tuned.

As far as customs on the horizon, I have some fun ideas that I hope you like!

Yes, all 8 of the devils. 4 will be going to a good home soon, the other 4 will be on sale at DesignerCon in Pasadena on November 3rd. To those reading, what do you think?

More Dragon Dunny Updates

Well, it's been a bit since my last update on these Dragon Dunnys, but they are coming along, as you can see! There's close-ups of each dragon, and a shot of them in their basic colors. Their paint has even progressed more since these shots were taken, so it won't be too long now - I hope! There's also a few ideas I have for other Dunny customs and have started one, so I should have those to show before DesignerCon in November.
